Kitchen Redesign

All the best parties happen in the kitchen and the kitchen is the heart of the home, where memories are made!

From cooking and baking, family mealtimes, coffees and chats, work and quick snacks, the secret ingredient is LOVE. I love designing kitchens that are functional, well-organised and that you just love to be in.

This is the process and some of the things that we will consider, discuss and decide.

Planning

We fill out a kitchen questionnaire to understand clear needs and desires and share ideas and inspiration images and talk about likes and dislikes.

I take accurate measurements and create two different kitchen layouts that suit your space and needs. We meet to discuss the different options and talk about what you like from both plans.

I then produce a third plan based upon initial feedback, with full elevations and breakdown of cabinets, drawers and appliances.

Once the kitchen plan is finalised I create electrical, lighting and plumbing plans for submitting to the contractor and I can also create a 3D SketchUp drawing of the new kitchen to help with visualisation.

Selections

I have a wide selection of formaica samples, paint fans and Caesarstone samples for worktop, in order to get an idea and direction for the style and materials we may use, but we are not limited to these.

We meet in a kitchen showroom or with a carpenter to finalise and order the kitchen and kitchen materials. Separately, we will choose lighting, backsplash (and grout, if tiling), worktop, handles and sinks and faucets. Other items to think about are flooring, window treatments, art and accessories.

Installation Phase

I meet with the contractor for marking the plans on site at the start of work.

Ongoing oversee includes checking delivery and liaising with contractors and suppliers of kitchen, worktop and backsplash.

I am on site regularly, working with the contractor should any design issues arise during installation and to make sure the plans are implemented correctly.
